IMPAIRED BEARS MAKE HALL OF SHAME, CLIPPERS ADD A “HOLL” OF FAME

Ex-Cal Bear (and Honorary trojan) Jason Kidd gets busted for the third time, this time for a DWI;  Another Ex-Bear Marshawn Lynch gets nailed for a similar offense;  Meanwhile, Bruin Center Ryan Hollins (of Final Four fame) comes home to L.A., signed yesterday by the Clippers

I have hated Jason Kidd for many, many years.  He was obnoxious when he played for Cal, and later he admitted that he BEAT his ex-wife, and then he fled the scene of an injury accident.  As the victim of a hit and run driver who put me in a wheelchair facing amputation, I hold a special place in my heart for people like Kidd, who cowardly run away from their responsibility in these horrific incidents.  Now recently, Kidd proved that he has not matured or become a decent human being, when he once again got arrested, crashing a car while driving under the influence.

Kidd just got signed by the New York Knicks, who also just let Jeremy Lin go to Houston.  I hope Lin has a banner year, and Kidd continues his decline into “past-his-prime,” has-been status.  In other Cal news, star Running Back Marshawn Lynch got clipped by Police for a DUI.  He plays for Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks, so at least his Coach is USED TO dealing with criminals.  He’ll probably have to do extra push-ups at practice this Fall.

Getting “clipped” in a better way was Bruin Basketballer Ryan Hollins, who leaves the Boston Celtics to come play for the Los Angeles Clippers this coming season.  This completes the ultimate swap for the local franchise:  They got rid of ex-trojan Nick Young, and added Bruin Hollins.  This is especially satisfying for me, because our beloved Michelle from the amazing UCLA Dance Team (circa 2007-8) is a Clippers Cheerleader, so I really wanted to start rooting for her team.  But that was impossible, when Nick Young was playing significant minutes during these past Playoffs.  But NOW, I declare myself a new Clippers Fan, in honor of Ryan and Michelle (assuming Michelle comes back to the squad next season).
