BECAUSE I CAN

Why ask why?

Why am I posting more UCLA Spirit Squad pics?  For the same reason a dog li—  Well, you know the rest

Which would you prefer — A boring list of all the Bruin Football players who have sustained injuries during Fall practice, or a nice set of 16 Cheer photos?  Yeah, I thought so.  Okay, so maybe Patti and Josephine don’t agree, but most of you will spend more time perusing these photos than you would a UCLA Disabled List.

The question arises every year:  Do the Bruins always have more injuries than other teams?  The answer, of course, is NO.  You are just more involved with UCLA, so you don’t hear about all the injuries on other teams.  In fact, do you think anyone at any other school outside of L.A. is hearing about a back-up Bruin Lineman tweaking a knee?  Of course not.  Even Bruin fans barely care.  But when all the UCLA injuries are listed together, it looks daunting.  Still, every school is going through the exact same scenario.  Maybe last year’s losing 2 QB’s at the same practice was a little severe, but usually, the Bruins are right on par with all other teams.

So far this season, there are no earth-shattering breaks that have saddened Bruin fans.  No major skill players are down.  But don’t expect that to last.  Every year, someone important goes down, so prepare yourself, and don’t overreact when it happens.

Meanwhile, take your mind off the next potential stretcher-rider, with this sweet pictorial of “new” pics newly culled from the ’07 Notre Dame nightmare.  Because, I don’t need a REAL story as an excuse to share shots like these.

Doctor, doctor, please…

Somebody get me a Doctor.

Doctor my eyes…

Not the Doctor.

Doctor Feelgood.

I asked the Witch Doctor to tell me what to do (Ooh, eee, ooh, ahh, ahh, ting, tang, walla-walla bing bang).

Love is the Drug that I am thinking of.

Sara Doctor in the House?

4 out of 5 Doctors recommend taking deep breaths while viewing this pictorial.

What’s up, Doc?

Diagnosis Murmur.

Like a Surgeon… for the very first time.

Take two, and call me in the morning.

Who needs medicinal marijuana? These photos make all my pain go away.

The Doctor is OUT.

Football? What? Injuries? Hmmm…I could have sworn everyone went to the games to watch the cheerleaders and dancers. The football game is just a sideshow when these young ladies need a break for a minute from cheering/dancing/flipping through the air!
