Swaggering to jail – Ex-trojan Nick “Swaggy P” Young gets arrested for Obstruction of Justice after defying Police during a traffic stop
You already knew that former trojan Basketball hero Nick Young, aka “Swaggy P,” wasn’t playing with a full deck, after lighting a firework and letting it go off while still holding it in his hands, and after almost getting a tattoo with the word “rebel” spelled wrong, and after lewdly harassing an NBA-affiliated executive and her Mother at a stop light, and after getting caught on tape bragging about cheating on his girlfriend, and after getting fined $25,000 for starting a brawl in a game, but now you can add an arrest for Obstruction of Justice to the staggering list of evidence.
Last night around midnight in Hollywood, Young was stopped by Police, and just like a typical arrogant trojan, he refused to cooperate with the Officers. You would think with all the anecdotes out there about Racist Cops who have a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later when dealing with a DWB (“Driving While Black”) situation, Young would be super-compliant. After all, as a big tall Basketball player, the cops might have felt somewhat threatened or vulnerable. But Young is not a rocket scientist, or a brain surgeon, or even a rocket surgeon, so he just disobeyed the Po-po’s instructions, and they had no choice but to arrest him.
Bail was set at $10,000, which Young probably had in his wallet at the time, or in between the cushions in the car. So he was released in a few hours, and a court date was set for September 19th. You might think that this would keep the current free agent from getting signed next year, but the NBA doesn’t really care about things like integrity and class. Young already wasn’t good enough to be retained by Golden State, who let him go after he failed to contribute to their 2018 Championship run, but some other team will surely pick him up — Thug culture sells jerseys.
Speaking of Championships, here are 58 more photos of the Champions of the Cheerleading World, the UCLA Spirit Squad.
